The SIMATIC S7-1500 complies with the national and international standards.

A range of performance-graded CPUs is available for the SIMATIC S7-1500R/H:

  • CPU 1513R-1 PN:
    For applications with medium program scope and processing speed requirements and increased availability requirements (no loss of data);
    also for distributed automation structures.
  • CPU 1515R-2 PN:
    For applications with medium/high program scope, networking and processing speed requirements and increased availability requirements (no loss of data);
    for distributed design via PROFINET IO.
    The additional integrated PROFINET interface with separate IP address can be used, for example, for network separation.
  • CPU 1517H-3 PN:
    For applications with high requirements regarding availability and very high requirements regarding program scope, networking, and processing speed;
    for distributed setup via PROFINET IO.
    The additional integrated PROFINET interface with separate IP address can be used for network separation.
  • CPU 1518HF-4 PN:
    For applications with high requirements regarding availability and functional safety, maximum requirements regarding program scope and networking, and very high requirements regarding processing speed;
    for distributed configuration via PROFINET IO.
    The additional integrated PROFINET interfaces with separate IP addresses can be used for network separation and for redundant connection to higher-level systems.
